Commercial terms

Sponsored content policy

Commercial support must never be able to buy the magazine's judgment. These rules make that enforceable.

Two coffee cups and a notebook between editors across a farmhouse kitchen table, one page flagged with a paper marker
The commercial conversation, kept on the same table as the editorial one: two cups, one notebook, clear terms.

Serenity Farmhouse accepts clearly labeled sponsored articles and partnerships, under rules that keep the editorial gates independent of the commercial desk. Every commercial arrangement on the site is governed by this page.

Labeling, always

Sponsored articles carry a visible label at the top of the page, an unambiguous statement in the page title area, and attribution to the sponsor, not to the newsroom. Sponsored pages are excluded from the editorial feed's framing as desk work and are inventoried in a sponsor ledger maintained by the site, so the share of commercial content remains measurable rather than implied.

What is not for sale

  • Placement inside editorial articles: links, mentions and examples are never inserted into existing guides for a fee.
  • Reviews, rankings and recommendations of named venues, vendors or stays, in any section, at any price.
  • The signature resources, including the seasonal venue checklist, remain editorial pages without commercial partners.
  • Anything presented as newsroom reporting that a sponsor wrote or directed.

How inquiries work

Proposals are read at [email protected]. Subjects must sit naturally within the magazine's gates, from Weddings to the Journal: products and services genuinely useful to couples planning farm weddings or venue stays. The desk declines subjects outside the magazine's scope and declines any terms that would compromise the editorial policy. Reader-facing disclosure language is not negotiable, and reader privacy around commercial content follows the privacy policy.
