If you are looking for a place to wind down and just take in the beauty of the Texas Hill Country, then our bed and breakfast is the perfect place to be. Most of our guests enjoy their stay so much, they spend most of their time sitting out on their porches or relaxing in our beautiful pool or hot tub. But, if you are looking for more adventure and fun during your stay, Wimberley is a great place to do it. Here is a list of the things you might find interesting.

Wimberley Market Days

Wimberley hosts the oldest outdoor market in the Texas Hill Country and the second-largest in the state. We feature over 475 booths of everything you can't live without. Come stroll our tree-shaded paths, listen to live music and shop to your heart's content.

Blue Hole

Blue Hole in Wimberley is the perfect swimming hole. The clear Cypress Creek on a 100-degree summer day is the perfect summer day. The creek has shallow areas for moms and babies and tree and rope swings for adventurous youngsters. And for the truly agile, there’s the game of catch the ring in which one grabs a ring swinging on a rope before a dive into the creek.  Walking down the winding flagstone path, the path reveals a beautiful open flat area covered with soft grass.  The kind you can sit and have a relaxing picnic on or sunbath.  The surrounding area is beautifully landscaped including several large rock picnic tables and benches. 

The park also includes a Regional Park that is open year-round. Visit the children’s playscape, basketball court, and walk the trails during daylight hours. Swimming area is only open in the summer months but you can walk down and enjoy the beauty.

Wimberley Zipline

Prepare for highflying fun as you harness up and glide through the air on this thrilling, action packed zipline adventure. Experience a rush as you soar over canyons and creeks with breathtaking 15-mile views of the Wimberley Valley. Your adventure will begin with trained guides leading you on an educational walking tour. You’ll learn about the local ecosystem of plants and wildlife, local history, and other interesting Wimberley area facts. Your adventure continues as you experience Texas Hill Country beauty as never before while soaring through a series of eight zip line crossings.

1101 FM 2325, 512-847-6969. Watch a show under the stars or stroll through the Musical Garden. You can view the hill top Memorial gardens as well…Free admission to the gardens, open from dawn to dusk. 

Bella Vista Ranch

Come and tour the only olive Orchard in the Texas Hill Country. A beautiful and educational experience. 3101 Mt. Sharp Rd. Wimberley.

The Wimberley Players

An excellent small town theatre, offering contemporary theatrical productions featuring local talent, as well as, participation from San Antonio and Austin. Experience theatre in an intimate setting. 450 Old Kyle Rd., 512-847-0575.

Jack Glover’s Cowboy Museum

333 Wayside Dr., 512-847-3338. If what you want is a touch of the true cowboy experience, then Jack Glover’s is where you want to visit. This is a place from a different time where you can hear tales from a real cowboy, Jack Glover. He will help you view his own personal memorabilia.

Old Oaks Ranch

Located at 601 old Oaks Ranch Road just 5 miles north of the Wimberley Square on RR12, Open Sunday from 12-4, and Tuesday through Saturday 10am until 5pm, you can tour the alpaca ranch, leisurely stroll through the sculpture gardens, or learn the ancient art of weaving… all at the Old oaks Ranch. This is just what's in our small town. We are only 45 minutes to Austin, one hour to San Antonio, 35 minutes to San Marcos (where the outlet mall is), and 40 minutes to New Braunfels where you can enjoy the world wide recognized water park Schlitterbahn.
